In 2015, Miguel Viegas submitted an inquiry to the European Parlaiment titled, “ Gaza Strip and bombs with depleted uranium,” which he prefaced with the statement: “There is now enough convincing data to prove that Israel has repeatedly used depleted uranium weaponry. Such was the case in the large-scale massacre that took place in the Gaza Strip in August 2014.”

In 2006, Chris Busby, PhD, identified radiological evidence of the possible use of exotic, nuclear weapons (4th Generation Nuclear Warfare) from soil samples obtained from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip believed to have been deposited there as a result of the activities of the Israeli military.
In a report he co-authored with Dai Williams in 2006 titled, Evidence of Enriched Uranium in guided weapons employed by the Israeli Military in Lebanon in July 2006 Preliminary Note, evidence is discussed that uranium weapons of some kind were probably employed in Lebanon:
“Most recently, there has been suspicion that the Israeli military operation in south Lebanon has involved the use of bunker busting bombs and missiles employing uranium warheads. It is probable that these weapon systems have been supplied to Israel by the United States. 500 guided weapons were supplied to Israel by the US via the UK in July/August 2006.”
"There are two possible scenarios. The first is that the weapon was some novel small experimental nuclear fission device or other experimental weapon based on the high temperature of a uranium oxidation flash.”
In a second report they published in 2009 titled, “Battlefield fallout: evidence of Uranium and Niobium in weapons employed by the Israeli Military in Gaza Analysis of ambulance air filter and bomb crater,” it was concluded that uranium weapons (including the extremely rare element Niobium) of some kind were probably employed in Gaza as well.
“It is believed, on the basis of these results that uranium weapons of some kind were probably employed in Gaza. The enriched uranium signature is similar to that found in the Lebanon following the Israeli action there. The nature of the weapon which employs or produces enriched uranium is unknown.
Busby's latest reported titled, "Evidence for the use by Israel of a neutron uranium warhead in Palestine and Lebanon," published December 2023 elaborates further on the topic.
